As someone who is always looking for new and innovative ways to engage with social media, I decided to conduct an experiment on Instagram. My goal was to create an account that featured pictures of famous places in Norway, but with a twist: the pictures would be generated by a generative AI called Midjourney.
To get started, I first had to get an account on Midjourney AI. This was a relatively straightforward process, and once I had the Discord server with the Midjourney bot running, I was ready to start generating my own images.
Next, I created a new Instagram account specifically for this experiment. I gave it a catchy name @vistAInorway and wrote a brief description explaining that the account would feature pictures of famous places, people and things in Norway, but that the images were not real – they were generated by Midjourney.
With my account set up, it was time to start generating and posting pictures. I selected a variety of different locations around Norway, including the iconic fjords, picturesque mountains, and stunning lakes. Using Midjourney, I was able to quickly and easily generate realistic-looking images of these locations.
I am posting some pictures daily for the next few days to see what kind of response they will generate.
Sous-chef – AI has a more prominent role in the generation of the text content, but still under close human guidance.
